China Comic and Animation Museum by MVRDV

Dutch practice MVRDV has won the international competition for the 'China Comic and Animation Museum' in Hangzhou, China. Composed of eight balloon shaped volumes, the design looks to create an internally complex experience measuring 30,000 square meters in total. Fantastical and whimsical in its approach, the proposal is part of a larger master plan that will include a series of parks, a public plaza and an expo center.

TP 485 Guosen Securities Tower by MVRDV

The new headquarters building for the Guosen Securities Corporation in Shenzen, China is to be the new symbol for the dynamic corporation that needs to be energy efficient and a pleasurable working environment in the new century. The TP 485 Guosen Securities Tower by MVRDV is a project driven by the creation of good views and direct daylight for every worker in a compact floor plan of 1849m2 where no workplace is further than 11 meters away from the façade. Stacking these floors leads to a 204 meter tall tower with a square floor plan and an elegant, slender volume.

MVRDV Vertical City Project - Future Towers Construction Begins

City Corporation Ltd, a leading real estate development corporation in the Indian state of Maharashtra has started construction on the first phase of Amanora Apartment City - Future Towers, designed by MVRDV. The project is located in Pune, India and comprises of 1,068 apartments & public amenities, as a part of a large scale housing development with a total of 400.000m2 comprising 3,500 apartments. Completion is expected by summer 2014. The apartments and facilities are interwoven and create a vertical city which will due to its various apartment types offer housing to a diverse group of residents.
