Construction for 'maritieme + jutters museum' by delft-based practice Mecanoo is nearing completion. located on the dutch island of Texel in Oudeschild, North Holland, the 1,200 square meter extension is expected to open at the end of 2011. Housing a new entrance hall and exhibition spaces, the design and use of recycled material acts as a homage to the rich and extensive collection of the museum.
